A Little History
Like all great ideas, Paddock Builders, Inc. began simply. Before 1988, building was just a hobby for Ted Paddock of Brighton. He started building wood boats and then fiberglass boats - an interest that soon grew into a hobby of building decks, remodeling basements, buying and fixing up old houses, and finally, custom homebuilding. Building for Ted was a dream way to work for a living.
The company grew large when his son Theo joined in 1995. Today Paddock Builders handles remodeling, custom home building and land development and it truly is a family affair. Company President Ted now designs homes and handles administration of the company; his son Theo handles the day-to-day supervision of the construction as project manager; and Ted's wife Charlene oversees the interior design, and works from our model homes.
Theo Paddock has earned the distinction of being one of only 5 Graduate Master Builders in Michigan, and also is a Certified Graduate Remodelor, Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist, and Certified Green Professional.
